After quite the whirl wind of a year there has never been a bigger itch to get outside and explore the top things to see and do while in Sydney.
Luckily for us Sydney siders we have an adventure awaiting right at our fingertips. Luckily for everyone else they also have an awaiting adventure well within reach.
We want to skip the mainstream see and do’s and share with you the tips to experiencing the ultimate Sydney getaway. We feel we are ready to let you in on the top 10 things to do in Sydney this summer while of course living like a local in the best possible way.
Don’t get us wrong we love ticking off Sydney’s famous monuments off the list. However, we also want to share with you the paths less travelled, hence the reason for us putting together a curated list of Top 10 things to do in Sydney this summer.
Gordon’s Bay – A break taking stroll with some of the best coastal view’s the Eastern suburbs have to offer. This secluded oasis is about a 50-minute walk from buzzing Bondi Beach.
Andrew (Boy) Charlton pool – A stones throw away from The Jensen Potts Point. This eight-lane outdoor heated 50-metre swimming pool is just off Woolloomooloo Wharf and is a local hot spot for keeping cool and soaking up some sun.
Tapas at Del Punt – The best Margarita in Sydney! Their Spanish inspired menu will have you dreaming of overindulging in Barcelona. Who ever said eating isn’t an activity has never been to Del Punto.
White Rabbit Gallery – This spectacular four floored gallery showcases various forms of artwork including instillations, photography, and sculptures. Exhibitions run frequently.
Watch a sunset – Maybe we are bias but we believe Sydney has some of the most terrific sunsets. We recommend perching up anywhere with lots of water in view to ensure a sunset for the books.
Ritz Cinema’s – This heritage listed art deco master piece has been standing strong since the 30’s plays a very important part in Randwick’s culture. Showcasing some fantastic films, making it a perfect date night.
King’s Cross Saturday Markets – Where you will find the local’s on Saturday morning. An array of local, organic goodies you cannot resist.
Dharawal National Park – About a 40km’s of Sydney you will find this protected park that play a vital part in Aboriginal history. Pack a picnic and spend a day exploring the bike tracks and rock pools.
Handpicked cellar door – Located in the heart of the CBD. The perfect spot for an afternoon of wine tasting and eating.
